-Founded in 1994, the year after the first Komen Denver Race for the Cure®, the Denver Metropolitan Affiliate is dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer forever
Cover 5 geographical regions covering 12 counties
-Denver Metro - Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson
-Foothill-Clear Creek, Gilpin, and rural western Jefferson and Boulder
-Boulder-Boulder and Broomfield
-Northern-Larimer
-Mountain-Park and Summit
-Up to 75% of funds raised in the community STAY in the community
-In 2009, the Affiliate awarded $2.8 million in grants to 35 nonprofits in our 12 county service area for breast cancer education, screening, treatment, and treatment support services
Since our inception, the Affiliate has invested more than $22 million in our community.
